While you can’t “force” search engines to rank you faster, there are some things you can do to improve Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your site and increase organic search traffic.
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, which is the practice of increasing the quantity and quality of traffic to your website through organic search engine results. In other words, how you appear to search engines and how easy it is for your ideal customer to find you online.
Add internal links to your new pages
Internal linking is essential: it improves topical relevance and crawlability, gets your website or page indexed faster and distributes PageRank to other pages so you can increase ranking on Google. A good strategy starts with looking for topically relevant pages on your website that you can link from as you publish a new post.
Marketing and sales alignment
Aligning sales and marketing will bring plenty of benefits to your business, including increased organic search traffic. Other advantages are enhanced business productivity, overall business growth, improved efficiencies, and better marketing ROI.
Here are some tips for aligning sales and marketing in your business:
● Create a team email alias
● Have regular meetings and make sure that the teams attend industry events together
● Coordinate content marketing campaigns with sales
● Develop a well-organized content creation process
● Create common sales and marketing goals

Improve page speed with lazy loading
Lazy loading basically means to defer the loading of non-critical resources at page load time. In other words, things like videos and images will only load when they’re visible on the page. This will reduce the initial page load time, the initial page weight, and the system resource usage – all of which positively impact performance and affect the organic ranking
Aside from the fact that page speed is a so-called “ranking factor,” faster loading pages provide a better user experience for your visitors and as a result, can reduce metrics like bounce rate.
Perform a yearly content audit
A content audit means analyzing the performance of all content on your website to see whether it should be kept as-is, updated, deleted, consolidated, or redirected. It’s not uncommon to see a significant increase in organic traffic after performing an annual content audit.
Improve the click-through rate for pages ranking on page one
It’s widely accepted in the SEO industry that pages with higher clickthrough rates can help increase rankings. But even if this was just a myth, it wouldn’t matter because more clicks = more visitors. Hence, improving CTR is never a bad thing. Since 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results, it’s highly recommended to focus on improving CTR for the first-page rankings.

Repurpose your best performing content
For example, you can repurpose your best-performing blog posts to videos and images (infographics) and your best-performing videos to blog posts and eBooks.
There are a few great reasons to repurpose your content:
● People enjoy different content formats – this is based on nothing more than personal preference. This means that your audience will choose the channel that they prefer. Thus, having several types of content on your website will allow you to reach more people and passively generate new leads and customers.
● You can own multiple spots in Google search. Since videos and images are showing up more in Google Search Engine Results Pages (SERPs), pages displayed by search engines in response to a query by a user, you can try to “own as much real estate as possible.” When users search for the keywords you’re targeting, they’ll find your blog posts, videos, and images.
The actual work of repurposing content can take quite a bit of time, but strategically identifying the topics to repurpose can be done fast.
➢ Repurpose blog posts and videos that are already getting consistent traffic. This can almost guarantee you that people will read or watch your repurposed content.
➢ Choose content based on search demand.
➢ Give the repurposed version a twist rather than directly copying it.
Send emails to everyone you link to
Link building is, undoubtedly, crucial for increasing organic traffic. And while the intent of sending emails isn’t to actually build links, it’s a great way to passively earn the trust of the people you are linking and expand your network while you’re at it.
Here’s what you need to do:
➢ take note of all websites you’re linking to. Shouldn’t be too hard, since you’ll probably only link to pages when you respect their content;
➢ find their email addresses and send them a quick message, just to let them know that you’ve linked to them.
This doesn’t usually result in immediate links, but it helps you start a conversation and it can even open up opportunities to have influencers recognize your brand.
